The members of Homer Laughlin’s union have voted to approve a new one-year labor contract with Homer Laughlin. Union officials informed Homer Laughlin that voting by members of the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers Union (GMP) Local 419 was completed today and that the agreements have been ratified. Homer Laughlin President Elizabeth McIlvain said, “This ‘yes’ vote is good news for Homer Laughlin and it is good news for Newell, the unions, our employees and, ultimately, our customers. Approximately 600 union-represented employees are covered by the approved contracts.
